Huge Sea Worm Captured in Britain
(April 2) - Staff at a British aquarium have captured a massive sea worm that had been terrorizing other aquatic life.
For months, the 4-foot-long creature -- which staffers call "Barry" -- had been devastating coral reef at Newquay's Blue Reef Aquarium, the Daily Mail newspaper reported Tuesday. The menacing monster also apparently injured a Tang fish.
Initially, aquarium workers weren't sure what was harming the coral, which in some cases was cut in half. After weeks with no clues, they decided to take the display apart to see if they could find the culprit, the Mail reported.
Workers laid bait traps, which were mysteriously destroyed in the night, as the glutton apparently devoured the fish hooks right along with the bait. Finally, staffers spotted the tropical worm, which bit through a 20-pound fishing line before staffers were able to successfully remove it from the tank.
The creature is covered with nasty bristles that sting and can cause permanent numbness in humans, the newspaper said.
"Tt really does look like something out of a horror movie," Matt Slater, the aquarium's curator, told the Mail. "It's over 4 feet long with these bizarre-looking jaws."
Slater said he suspects Barry arrived as a baby in a shipment from another aquarium. The worm now lives in his own tank.

New Prince Album 'Lotusflow3r' Eyes No. 1 Debut - April 2, 2009
Iconic superstar Prince's new album "Lotusflow3r," released Sunday, is positioned for at least a top 5 debut on next week's Billboard 200 albums chart.
Currently riding on Nielsen Soundscan's Building chart, "LotusFlow3r" is however facing tough competition from country recording star Keith Urban, UGK, and Flo Rida, who all have brand new albums in stores this week.
In 2006, Prince earned his first debut at no.1 on Billboard's 200 Albums Chart with "3121".
Released in March of 2006, "3121" moved close to 184,000 copies and was eventually certified Gold.
"LotusFlow3r" is on sale exclusively through Target Stores.

Erykah Badu 'Safe' After Rabbit Holding Stalker Arrested - March 28, 2009
Erykah Badu is safe after an alleged stalker barricaded the "Honey" singer inside her home over the weekend.
According to Badu, who tweeted (twitter) the entire incident Saturday, a woman that has been seen outside on her front lawn several times had showed up again baring gifts.
This time however, Badu was on the way to a show in Austin, TX and thus called the police, who showed up and apprehended the woman and the gifts which included blue shutters, a rabbit, tucan and a sketch book that she'd spread across Badu's lawn.
Tweeting during the arrest, Badu wrote "Police just apprehended a stalker in front of my house. Stay tuned to details."
Several minutes later Badu text that the woman(stalker) was "pepper sprayed and cuffed" by cops.
According to the former "Next Lifetime" singer, the police report, filled out at the scene, made her late for the show in Austin.

It has sold close to 110 million records worldwide making it the best selling record in history. Having just sold out his upcoming tour in Europe, could Micheal Mania be returning? Mary J. Blige tapped to Star in Next Tyler Perry Film - March 27, 2009
Tyler Perry has chosen R&B superstar and nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige to co-star in his next film, “I Can Do Bad All By Myself,” due in theaters on Sept. 11. Blige joins cast member Taraji P. Henson, who was nominated for an Oscar this year. The singer will play a nightclub manager and singer who is good friends with Henson’s character. The Lionsgate film, adapted from Perry’s stage play, is currently shooting at his Atlanta Studios. The venerable and money-making Madea will also make an appearance, says the Hollywood Reporter. As for her acting resume, Blige recently did a guest stint on “Entourage.” Her last big-screen appearance was in the 2001 drama “Prison Song.” Blige is coming off two sold-out national tours and is in the studio working on a new album due out this year from Interscope Geffen. The singer already has eight platinum or multiplatinum albums.

ALBINOS in East Africa are falling victim to hunters who desire their skin and body parts.
Those detained had fresh body parts in their possession, police say.
Witchdoctors in the region tell clients that potions made with albino body parts will bring them luck in love, life and business.
At least 10 albino people have been killed in Burundi in recent months and more than 40 in neighboring Tanzania.
Prosecutor Nicodeme Gahimbare told the AFP new agency that those arrested were “simple farmers” acting as middlemen.
“They had albino bones with them, some of them still fresh,” he said.
Mr Gahimbare said that three members of the gang had escaped into Tanzania but he said he was confident that the whole network could be dismantled within days.
Kazungu Kassim, the head of a Burundi albino association, said the authorities were now taking the killing of albinos seriously but more needed to be done.
“We urge the government to double efforts in protecting albinos, because what we are witnessing here is a planned extermination of the albino community,” he said.
At least 200 people have been arrested over the trade in Tanzania but none have been convicted, raising fears that senior officials could be involved.

“Rorrey is fuming. He can barely contain his rage, and he’s shocked that his sister still has anything to do with Chris,” the family friend divulged.
“Rorrey says he intends to confront Chris man-to-man for the beating.”

N.E.R.D. Detained In Malaysia; Cancels Show - March 23, 2009
Hip-Hop group N.E.R.D. canceled shows this weekend in Indonesia, after members were detained in Malaysia.
According to reports, N.E.R.D. had just finished a performance at the Sunburst KL International festival in Jakarta, when they attempted to head to neighboring Indonesia, to play another date.
Shortly after the show, the group was held by police for failing to get a permit from the government of the world’s most populated Muslim country, which has strict guidelines for performing

The song was ultimately recorded by the Pussycat Dolls for the recently released "Confessions of a Shopaholic" soundtrack.
